Two core engines (VLM / OCR)
Nsight VLM OCR — edge VLM-OCR
Reads handwritten slips, reflective labels and faded engraving by meaning, not template. It runs self-contained on a Jetson edge device and works as a hybrid alongside rule-based and CNN-OCR where that fits.
Logistics Vision AI — for the warehouse
The VLM-OCR engine applied to logistics: high-speed inbound inspection (Edge VLM OCR), an inbound-inspection OS (InboundOS), and barcode-free inventory & warehouse management (WMS) — chosen to fit the site.
Multi-SKU visual inspection
For high-mix appearance inspection, Nsight uses a rule-based × CNN × VLM hybrid. CNN and rule-based processing run real-time inference at line speed; the VLM works behind the scenes — generating NG (defect) images, auto-annotating new SKUs and assisting on ambiguous cases — to solve the shortage of defect samples. A browser-based training UI lets floor operators run it, and a VLM layer can be added on top of an existing image-processing system. Optical design (lighting, camera, lens, conveyance) is built in by an engineering team from Keyence's image-processing division.
- Resin / plastic-molding appearance inspection
- Cosmetics appearance inspection & SKU identification
- Steel & metal surface inspection
- Food counting & foreign-object detection
- Automotive-parts appearance inspection
- Pachinko-parts appearance inspection
Logistics & warehouse (Logistics Vision AI)
Built around the same edge VLM-OCR engine — liquid lens × line camera × VLM × WMS integration — to read labels of varying height, font and format with no master registration and reconcile them against your system.
- Edge VLM OCR — high-speed inbound inspection for fast lines
- InboundOS — an inbound-inspection operating system
- WMS — barcode-free inventory & warehouse management
- Logistics OCR × WMS package — read-to-reconcile as one build
- Warehouse AI camera — monitoring & stocktake support

Nsight Edge — AI image-inspection software
Our packaged AI visual-inspection software, designed to run inference on the edge and to layer onto the equipment you already have.
Approach by scale
The right move depends on the customer's size. For large operations that already run a WMS, we add just the "eyes" — the image-recognition layer — onto the existing system, with a fixed line camera and liquid lens for high-speed, fine, variable-height reading. For smaller, Excel-and-paper operations, we offer an all-in-one from label reading through inventory management, starting from a smartphone or tablet and scaling up as budget allows.
